June 2008 - The Thirty Day Challenge [again] With Ed Dale!

As a coach I know and understand the importance of accountability.  I started the Thirty Day Challenge with Ed Dale last year and despite making an online commitment made it all the way up to day ... 22!

Life and business got in the way and the Athena Franchise sales were a priority that could not be ignored.  Something had to give and sadly it was this.  All through the year I have regretted it and gone back to the training on my own.  I realised that it was the thirty day commitment that was critical.

I've made a commitment to complete the Thirty Day Challenge this year, 2008, come what may and what has made it so much easier is that Ed has factored in two months pre-season learning.  What this means is that all the technical learning is completed before the challenge begins and I can focus on developing an online business.

If you would like to join me on the journey click here to register ... see you on the other side.

So what is the Thirty Day Challenge?

    The 'F' Word

F_word_2_2 Rich Schefren posted a great blog today ... starting each day with 'The "F" Word'  I wouldn't presume to perfect his literary masterpiece, it reflects perfectly on the state of  a typical entrepreneurs working week.

    Day Twenty One 30DC - Can't Track Can't Manage

Day21Reviewing the Market Research today.  Constantly mindful [me that is!] that what happens online is relevant offline aswell.  Mind whirring with how I can improve the communication in offline businesses so that I am always adding value.

Day Seventeen 30DC - Magic Happens!

Day17Pulling it all together.  Social posting, submitting to ezine articles.  All familiar territory now.  Actually that is not strictly true I was not aware of the website www.socialposting.com and I have to say it is somewhat amazing that in one site I can submit to so many.

Day Sixteen 30DC - Creating Traffic!

Day16 As of today we have sufficient information to create traffic!  And, fingers crossed, make money through affiliate sales.

Not sure that I want to use Tumblr though, I have an account with TypePad.  I understand the functionality and I enjoy the simplicity of it.  Need to make sure that it is in the format recommended.

Day Fifteen 30DC - The WHY Of Traffic

Day15What I learnt today is that Google hates new sites oopsie!  Fortunately super hero Ed Dale is talking us through how we can get into the hottest club in town.

Ed is ensuring that we minimise risk, getting in with the cool people i.e. Paris Hilton who will introduce us to the club ... that is how we get in.

Day Fourteen 30DC - American Idol Style

Day14 The key to making money online is exactly the same as the key to making money offline.  What do I mean by that?  Knowing ahead of time what has the greatest chance of making money. Ed Dale (and others) have called this the American Idol approach. It's a great way to minimize risk and create a hungry market.

Day Thirteen 30DC - Content Is King!

    Day13

Reviewing where to get the content from.  Although I am currently sourcing the content from bloglines Ed reminds us that there are many other sources i.e technorati.

Creating a habit can take 30 days (or is it 28?) and Ed is encouraging us to get into the habit of 'writing' content and saving it into google notes and ensuring that we make it sound real.

Day Eleven & Twelve 30DC - Catch Up Phase

Dog_ate_homeworkCatch up time!  Really enjoying the Thirty Day Challenge despite my angst at not finding the 'perfect' key phrase and niche.

Having got over my perfectionism in this and made a decision that 'it is good enough' I appear to be steam rollering ahead.  Good time to catch up
