Day Fourteen 30DC - American Idol Style

The key to making money online is exactly the same as the key to making money offline.  What do I mean by that?  Knowing ahead of time what has the greatest chance of making money. Ed Dale (and others) have called this the American Idol approach. It's a great way to minimize risk and create a hungry market.

It was heartening today to go into clickbank and amazon and see that there are indeed affiliate products.  I know what your thinking (well perhaps I don't but play along for now) 30DC is just going to teach us how to be affiliate marketers (no bad thing many have made a handsome living at it).

Not so!  Previously when I have been taught to research new markets I have set up a 'flycatcher page'.  It takes time, you have to spend money creating pay-per-click advertising and you cannot guarantee the success.

Sure, you can't guarantee that after promoting an affiliate programme that will be successful either but then I don't know what else Ed has up his sleeve and I am just doing as I am told.

The good news is that there are affiliate products, they appear to be successful and even better there are not that many of them.
